Pembrokeshire Play Sufficiency Assessment 2022

As you may be aware, Pembrokeshire County Council has a responsibility to conduct a Play Sufficiency Assessment (PSA), ensuring a sufficient contribution from a range of partners and organisations such as yours.

Premier Advisory Group (PAG) have been commissioned by the Council to support the delivery of the 2022 PSA.

As part of the delivery of the PSA, they are consulting with children, young people, parents/ carers and wider stakeholders, to support the Council to develop play provision that meets the needs of Pembrokeshire communities. This includes supporting opportunities for play, identifying any gaps across the county and establishing an action plan to meet the needs of children and young people.

We would greatly appreciate if you could distribute the following two surveys to your pupils and parents/carers for them to complete, especially via your social media channels. Please note that all surveys are in both English and Welsh.

The survey for children and young people is here: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/ PCC-PSA-CYP.

The survey for parents/carers is here: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/PCC-PSA- Parents.

In addition, please could you complete the following survey which will ascertain your views on play across Pembrokeshire, and distribute to other members of staff who are in a position to provide responses: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/PCC-PSA-Stakeholders.

Your participation is greatly appreciated and will support the Council to understand how play can be improved and emerging challenges can be addressed, as well as details on how the Council can support schools to develop play facilities and opportunities.

Should you require any further information about this component of the project, or our role in the PSA, please feel free to contact Yashna Smart at: yashna.smart@premieradvisory.co.uk or telephone: 07833 621279.
